Ultimately though it wss the DSMfix if that helps at all. It worked for me my first time but when i restarted my computer i needed to do a system restore because i may have screwed up somewhere. You need to take ownership of the file () and replace it with one downloaded off the internet() Now in some cases it may work. After i removed the DSMfix files, the game ran perfectlyīut since you don't have the mods installed it may be a problem with your kernalbase.dll file. The problem ended up being with my DSMfix mod which was linked to my DS and DSCfix. "So I had a similar problem where the EXE had stopped working. Some people needed to remove Windows Live Mail from their Computer (or other Windows Live essential applications). Try running DarkSouls.exe as an Admin? Right click it and run as Admin. Log into the client first! Then try get into Dark Souls. ![]() Uninstall your GFWL client (not Dark Souls). If using DSFix remove it and try the following, if not using it maybe try install it. ![]()
